Your Eyes

It's Six Word Friday, and I am posting on time for a change.  Please click on the button on my sidebar to find out how it works and read the other posts - maybe publish one of your own.

Your Eyes

You speak words dripping
with honey   but you lie.
Your eyes   merely mirrors
   deflect the questions in
my own   reveal nothing
of what is in your heart.

Nice poem, there are always those that say one thing and mean another, but the eyes are hard to lie.

I love this line "your eyes merely mirrors" because more often than not with people such as these we see only what we want to - either the best or worst of ourselves
